Mei Poon: What are your expectations or vision for New York Energy Week five years from now?
Rory Christian: I believe New York Energy week will be the premiere event series for industry leaders to discuss and develop plans for the future.
MP: What did you enjoy the most from New York Energy Week 2013?
RC: The Opening Ceremony for the 2013 event was a great opportunity to meet other professionals and discover new opportunities throughout New York. They Keynote address was inspiring and helped set a vision for what the future could be.
MP: What is your favorite invention/ technology in Energy sector?
RC: Technologies that allow users more control over their energy have the greatest appeal to me. The nest Thermostat and the Quirky/GE Aros are two such examples that are within reach of the average consumer and can be catalysts for significant change.
MP: What is your favorite New York City landmark?
RC: The Cloisters, a little bit of the old world mixed in with the new.
MP: What is your favorite “green” city? And why?
RC: New York City; of course.
MP: Personal Fun Fact: What is something people might not know about you?
RC: I hike parts of the Appalachian trail regularly and am a pretty good cook.
