Ahead of president Donald Trump’s decision to impose 30% tariffs or border taxes on imported solar panels, solar advocates were wary about the impacts of the tariffs. Abigail Hopper, the President of Solar Energy Industries Association, even expressed his concern stating that the imposition of tariffs would create a crisis for the solar industry and threaten nearly 260,000 American jobs in the sector.
