Can Nuclear Power Bounce Back?

American nuclear power has been in a tenuous position for the past few decades. The Three-Mile Island accident in 1979 and changing economics put nuclear development on the back burner of America’s energy infrastructure plans. Dozens of planned projects were cancelled over the next two decades and it took 33 years for the NRC to approve construction of a new reactor.
