The global clean-energy picture for 2013 was a classic good news-bad news story, according to the Clean Energy Trends 2014 report issued today by clean-tech research and advisory firm Clean Edge, Inc.

Kate Burson: I’m most looking forward to the energy leadership team opening ceremony.
During this year’s New York Energy Week, National Grid will host a tour of the Newtown Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant. Newtown Creek is the first project in the United States that directly injects renewable gas into a local distribution system by using biogas from a wastewater treatment plant. National Grid will own and maintain a system that cleans up the biogas to meet pipeline quality standards for usage down the line.
