The fifth annual New York Energy Week (NYEW) is here! Danish Cleantech Hub is once again taking part in the “for the industry, by the industry” initiative.
Danish Cleantech Hub, a joint initiative by Confederation of Danish Industry and State of Green in New York, is hosting an event on Net-Zero Energy Districts Thursday, June 22 to wrap up the 2017 New York Energy Week.
In recent years, numerous communities have shifted their focus from net-zero buildings to net-zero energy districts. In order to achieve the renewable integration and energy efficiency goals of New York’s comprehensive energy strategy, Reforming the Energy Vision (REV), district thinking could very well become instrumental.
The event offers a unique chance to learn about the advantages and possibilities of approaching energy at a larger scale through two panel discussions featuring industry experts.
Apart from several local stakeholders such as the Office of the Governor (State of NY) and New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), Danish cleantech leaders such as Rockwool, Grundfos and Ramboll are to give their insights on how the concept of Net-Zero Energy Districts should be considered a promising piece of New York’s Energy puzzle.
“Danish Cleantech Hub is proud to once again be part of the New York Energy Week, where we’ll get an opportunity to present some of the forward thinking ideas that our Danish partners have successfully been able to implement in an urban context.”, says Andreas Brunsgaard, US General Manager of the Confederation of Danish Industry.
