Governor Cuomo highlighted New York’s leadership in the nation’s commitment to increasing clean energy development through the use of energy efficiency and renewable and alternative energy supplies, while also emphasizing the need to support the transition away from fossil fuels toward clean energy. He discussed the intersection between innovative state programs and New York Energy Week.
“New York Energy Week welcomes today’s leaders, market makers, and shapers of the future of energy worldwide and this series fosters industry advancement and cross-sector collaboration to guide the future of the global energy industry; we join in support of this initiative that will help New York and other states create a dynamic clean energy economy, empowering communities and customers to take control of their energy use, driving local economic growth and revitalization, improving the resiliency of our energy system, and protecting our environment,” declared the Governor.
